Who can purchase assessment materials from WPS?
Some test materials are restricted to individuals with advanced credentials based on education, training, and/or experience in the field of assessment.

When will I receive my order?
Orders are usually shipped within one business day of receipt.
Delivery takes from 2 to 10 business days (depending on distance from CA) Track your order by logging into "My Account."
What is your return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with an item purchased from WPS, you may return it in salable condition within 90 days of the invoice date, and we will promptly refund the cost of the materials returned (less shipping and handling). Before returning any item, please call our Customer Service Department (800-648-8857) to insure that you are given proper credit.
What are your shipping and handling charges?
10% (with a $5.00 minimum) on shipments within the U.S.
20% (with a $10.00 minimum) on shipments to Canada
25% (with a $25.00 minimum) on shipments outside the U.S. and Canada.
(Shipments to Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands may incur additional shipping charges.) Please note that due to the high cost of shipping to some foreign countries you may be required to pay actual shipping costs in addition to a nominal handling fee. You will be notified if your order is being billed at actual shipping cost.
Do you accept purchase orders?
We accept purchase orders from recognized public agencies and institutions. The online catalog on this web site provides up-to-date pricing information that you can use to create your purchase order. You must mail or fax your purchase order to WPS. You cannot use a purchase order when ordering online.
What are Customs and Duties on foreign shipments?
Customs charges and duties may be applied to a shipment when it enters a foreign country. These charges are determined by the country's government and are collected by the package courier upon delivery of goods. WPS plays no role in assigning or collecting these duties.
How do I know if a particular assessment or book is appropriate for my needs?

Does WPS offer a discount if I use your products for research or for educational purposes?
WPS offers scholarly discounts for education and research involving WPS test materials. You may apply if you are using a WPS product in a research study or if you are planning to use WPS products to train students. How do I submit material to WPS for publication review?
We review new products on a regular basis and would be happy to consider yours for publication. Although we cannot be responsible for unsolicited manuscripts and games, we will consider all items submitted. WPS is always interested in reviewing high quality assessment tools for professionals in psychology, education, and allied fields.

Can I distribute WPS Catalogs at a workshop or convention?
If you would like to distribute copies of our catalog at a local workshop or convention, please contact the WPS Marketing Department (800-648-8857). Send email requests to marketing@wpspublish.com.
Can I reprint, adapt, or translate WPS Material?
WPS does permit reprints, adaptations, and translations to qualified researchers and organizations who first secure proper written authorization from WPS Rights & Permissions, subject as necessary to payment of license fees to WPS. Preferred scholarly arrangements are available to qualified scientific investigators. Contact Susan Weinberg, Assistant to the President, for details securing the necessary arrangements (rights@wpspublish.com). No reprinting, adaptations, or translations of copyrighted WPS material, in whole or in part, in any media is permitted without the prior written authorization of WPS.
What is your Desk Copy and Review Copy Policy?
Desk Copies
Western Psychological Services provides complimentary copies of WPS publications adopted for classroom use. Please note the following guidelines when requesting desk copies of our products:
  • Desk copies are available only to instructors purchasing 10 or more copies of a title for use in a class being taught at a bona fide educational institution.
  • Desk copies are supplied for WPS-published titles only.
  • Desk copies are not available for test manuals.
  • One desk copy is available for every 10 copies ordered.
  • Requests must include the name of the instructor, class title, expected enrollment, and name of the bookstore at which the text has been ordered.
  • Requests for desk copies should be written on the Purchase Order (P.O.) for copies being purchased.
  • Desk copies cannot be sent before the corresponding order is processed.
  • Desk copy requests for book orders that have already been shipped must include the name of the instructor, class title, name and address of the organization placing the order, date of the order, and the WPS invoice number for the order.
  • Desk copies are not available for courses that have ended.
  • WPS does not ship desk copies to residences; they must be mailed to your institution (school or university) address.
  • All requests are subject to availability and approval.

Review Copies
If you are interested in examining a WPS title for adoption in a course you may take advantage of our return policy. How do I know which WPS TEST REPORT options are available for a given test?
Visit the WPS TEST REPORT Scoring Options page to see a list of the computerized assessment options available for each WPS test.
What are Mail-In Answer Sheets?
Responses are marked directly on these Answer Sheets, which are then sent to WPS TEST REPORT for computer scoring. When your Mail-In Answer Sheet arrives at WPS, it is scored, and an interpretive report is sent to you by return mail. (If your Answer Sheet arrives on a Saturday, it will be processed on the following Monday.) The price of each Mail-In Answer Sheet includes computer scoring and an interpretive report.
How quickly will my Mail-In Answer Sheet be processed?
Within 8 hours after your Mail-In Answer Sheet arrives at WPS, it is scored, and an interpretive report is placed in the mail. (If your Answer Sheet arrives on a Saturday, it will be processed on the following Monday.)
Will I need to purchase anything else in order to use Mail-In Answer Sheets?
Most Mail-In Answer Sheets include test items. The product description will alert you if additional materials are required.
What is WPS TEST REPORT FAX Service?
For immediate test results you can FAX Answer Sheets to WPS TEST REPORT for scoring, and we can email or fax back a complete report in minutes. To use this service, you simply open an account. You make a deposit using check, MasterCard, or Visa. (There is a $50.00 minimum on your initial deposit.) Then, when you FAX an Answer Sheet for scoring and interpretation, we deduct the appropriate charge from your account.
How do I open a WPS TEST REPORT FAX Service account?
Just call our Customer Service Department at 800-648-8857. We can open your FAX account over the phone or send you a sign-up form to complete and return. You will get a 10% introductory bonus on your initial deposit. And once your account is active, you will be eligible for monthly use bonuses.
How will my FAX test report be returned to me?
You can choose to have your FAX test report returned to you via fax, mail, or email. (NOTE: Test reports sent via mail or overnight delivery are subject to a small fee.)
Can I fax any type of answer sheets to WPS TEST REPORT FAX Service?
No. Our FAX Service accepts only WPS TEST REPORT FAX Answer Sheets. We will send you these--free of charge--along with special Customer Header sheets that must accompany each transmission.
How do I track the balance or activity on my FAX Service account?
You will receive monthly activity statements and notification when your account is getting low. At your request, we will add funds via your credit card. This can be done with one quick, toll-free telephone call to 800-648-8857.
Why do I have to activate my Disk?
You are required to activate your Disk because we have programmed WPS TEST REPORT software to comply with the security features required by Windows operating systems.
What are PC Answer Sheets?
PC Answer Sheets provide an inexpensive paper-and-pencil administration for those occasions when you want to use a Disk or CD, but you do not want the client entering responses directly into the computer. The client responds on the PC Answer Sheet, and then you or an assistant can enter his or her responses into the computer.
Where do I find the User's Guide on my Disk or CD?
On the menu bar at the top of the screen go to "Help" and then select "Contents." Alternatively, you can find the User's Guide on your program Disk or CD. For programs requiring Windows, the User's Guide file is GUIDE.DOC. For programs requiring DOS, the User's Guide file is WPS.DOC.
Can I use my WPS TEST REPORT Disk or CD on more than one computer?
Disk Instructions:
You can only use WPS TEST REPORT Disks on one computer at a time. If you would like to transfer the program to another computer, follow these instructions:

Please note, users with Windows XP must be logged in with Administrator privilege and users with Windows 2000 must be logged in with Standard User privilege in order to perform the transfer operation.

  1. Take the disk that was used to install the program on your initial computer (Computer A) and use it to install the program on the new computer (Computer B).
  2. Run the program on Computer B.
  3. Click "Cancel" to hide the Program Activation Window.
  4. Select "Prepare Transfer" from the License menu, then click Yes or OK on the following three windows. When operation is successfully completed, you will see the message, "Transfer successfully completed."
  5. Put the program disk back into Computer A, and run the program. While the program is running and still has available administrations, select "Transfer License" from the License menu. Click Yes or OK on the following windows. When operation is successfully completed, you will see the message "Transfer successfully completed."
  6. Take the program disk to Computer B. With the program running, select "Upload License" from the License menu. At this point the administrations from Computer A will be transferred to Computer B; there will be no administrations available on Computer A.

CD Instructions:
Using the CD you can install the program on as many computers as you would like, but you will only be able to score a test on a computer with the WPS USB Key (included with the purchase of your CD).
