Be the Boss of Your Stress Kit Self-Care for Kids by Timothy Culbert, M.D., and Rebecca Kajander, C.P.N.P., M.P.H.
This kid-friendly kit gives children everything they need to manage their own stress. It includes a book, an acupressure tool, a stress ball, a pinwheel (to help with breathing exercises), a biofeedback card, a quick-start self-care card, a carabiner (for attaching the biofeedback and self-care cards to a backpack or jacket), and stickers (to remind kids to practice and track progress).
The book teaches youngsters how to recognize stress and deal with it in healthy ways. The other components help them translate the book's message into action. The result? Kids really do learn that they can be the boss of their own stress. Ages 8 to 14.
