Pediatric Behavior Rating Scale (PBRS) by Richard M. Marshall, Ph.D., and Berney J. Wilkinson, Ph.D.
This unique scale helps you spot signs of early-onset bipolar disorder in children and teens. Because it includes both parent and teacher forms, the PBRS insures that you get a complete profile of the characteristics associated with early-onset bipolar disorder--including mood swings, chronic irritability, grandiosity, explosive outbursts, and emotional meltdowns. At the same time, it identifies symptoms of common comorbid conditions, such as ADHD. Although the PBRS focuses on symptom identification and profile analysis, clinicians find it useful in differential diagnosis. In addition, information from the PBRS can help educators develop classroom accommodations (thereby satisfying IDEA requirements) and document the effect of intervention. Optional computer scoring, provided on an unlimited-use CD, generates a detailed interpretive report, with a score summary and a list of critical items. This software lets you compare profiles on screen--for example, you can overlay two teacher profiles, two parent profiles, or parent and teacher profiles for the same student. |
