| Appropriate for use with 4- to 9-year-olds or any child who likes to draw, these coloring books address four different aspects of the child's life: School, Friends, Family, and Self. The drawings in each book are designed to pull for central childhood themes. They encourage expression, helping children reveal problems, sexual abuse, or trauma they may have experienced. As the child colors a picture, he or she can be asked to make up a story about it or comment on it. The coloring books also include several pages on which children can produce drawings of their own. |
