This unique test measures the actual reading ability of children aged 3 through 8 years. Items assess knowledge of contextual meaning, alphabet, and conventions, and results are reported as standard scores, percentiles, and normal curve equivalents. |
|
The TERA-3 can be individually administered in 30 minutes and provides the examiner with three subtests: Alphabet, Conventions, and Meaning. Standard scores are given for each subtest, and an overall Reading Quotient is computed using all 3 subtest scores. Standardized on a national sample of more than 1,000 children, TERA-3 provides separate norms for each 6-month interval between the ages of 3--0 and 8--11. |
