The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) has become the
standard instrument for assessing autism and PDD across age,
developmental level, and language skills. Western Psychological Services
(WPS) offers 2-day workshops where you will learn how to use the ADOS in
clinical practice to assess and diagnose autism.
Our expert training staff will
describe the ADOS and demonstrate administration and scoring, operationalizing DSM-IV/ICD-10 diagnostic criteria for Autism
and Pervasive Developmental Disorders not Otherwise Specified.
Instructional methods include lecture, live administration and
demonstration, videotaped administration, and discussion. Participants
have the opportunity to practice administration and scoring under the
supervision of trained facilitators.
The University of Southern California Division of Occupational Science
and Occupational Therapy together with Western Psychological Services presents this
training program in sensory integration consisting of four 5-day
courses.
Leading to Certification in Sensory
Integration, including instruction in administering and interpreting the
Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT).
SPM Workshops Diana Henry presents 1- and 2-day workshops on the Sensory Processing Measure (SPM). These workshops enhance clinical skills by applying test-specific interpretive strategies to a variety of case examples.
